Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

By using DC Math Tutor, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a school or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. A user who cannot legally agree to these Terms must have permission from a parent, guardian or school where required.

2. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information, protect your Google account and promptly report suspected misuse. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Do not share private assignment, marking or student-review links outside their intended audience.

3. Educational and AI outputs

AI responses can be incomplete or incorrect. Students should show their own working and follow their school's academic-integrity rules. Teachers remain responsible for checking AI marking, changing marks where appropriate and making final educational decisions.

DC Math Tutor does not guarantee any examination outcome, grade, admission result or uninterrupted availability.

4. Teacher responsibilities

• Access only students and work you are authorised to teach or assess.
• Obtain required student, parent, school or organisational permission.
• Keep marking schemes and restricted assessment materials confidential.
• Review AI-generated marks and feedback before releasing consequential results.
• Remove access or shared links when they are no longer required.

5. User content and Drive files

You retain ownership of questions, working, documents and other content you submit. You grant DC Math Tutor a limited permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the requested features. You confirm that you have the right to upload and share the content.

Files stored in your Google Drive remain subject to your Google account, storage allowance and sharing settings. Removing them may prevent related app features from reopening the document.

6. Credits, purchases and referrals

AI features may consume credits at the amount shown before or during use. Free actions do not consume credits where the interface says so. Purchased credits, starter credits, administrator grants and referral bonuses may have different eligibility or promotional conditions.

Prices and any applicable taxes are shown at purchase. Transactions made through an app store or payment provider are also governed by that provider's terms and refund process. Except where required by law or stated at purchase, promotional credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or resold.

Referral rewards may be withheld or reversed for duplicate, self-referred, automated, misleading or abusive activity.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, bypass access or credit controls, upload malware, disrupt operations, scrape private data, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual-property rights, or use student information without authority. We may restrict or suspend access needed to investigate misuse, protect users or comply with law.

8. Service changes and availability

We may improve, replace, limit or discontinue features. Maintenance, Google services, AI providers, app stores or network conditions can affect availability. We will take reasonable steps to preserve important saved records but users should retain copies of essential assessment materials in their own approved storage.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, DC Math Tutor is provided “as is” and “as available”. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, examination outcomes, decisions based solely on AI output, or loss caused by a user's deletion, sharing settings or third-party account. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. We may update them when the service or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
